So as you know (or may not know) but I do like to read. I've been reading Dee Henderson, Ted Dekker, Tosca Lee, Frank Peretti, and NOW I've added a new book to my collection, ABBY RIKE!

I saw her speak Friday, February 24 and her testimony just spoke to me. It honestly shook me and forced me to reevaluate somethings. So I bought her book, AND got it signed! I encourage everyone to buy it and read it!

It's been too long....

I've been super busy lately. A lot of things just seem to pile themselves on me. Cele's wedding is drawing closer and that means my moving date is approaching FAST. It's also been brought to my attention that I need to seek the Lord to find pure JOY in everything that I do. Seems that my circumstances are greatly effecting my mood. So now, I'm striving to have complete and utter JOY no matter what happens. Bad day? JOY! Stressed? JOY!

Simply Amazing!

When I was 12, I knew that I wanted to be an artist. I didn't know where my road was going to lead, but I knew that I was going to be an artist. I remember sitting on the floor for hours sketching and trying to come up with more creative ideas. Now, here I sit with my Mac playing for hours trying to come up with more creative ideas. Not much has changed in the last 15 years. In 2007 I graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design. Along with running my own company, I currently work full time as the only graphic designer and online manager at a small home school, Christian bookstore in San Antonio, Texas.

I absolutely love to design. Everything is designed, from the a billboard, to the layout of a highway. It's all around us, and I get to stop and take it all in; I get to be inspired by all the designs that surrounds us everyday.
When I'm not designing I love to travel and see everything. I'm constantly inspired and will forever have a passion for the feeling I get when I see designs. I love Cracker Jacks and Big Red (it's a Texas thing). I love to go biking or stay home and find a good book to read. I also love to write and enjoy pushing my creative ability beyond just designing as I work on poems and stories.

I can say that I knew I was going to be an artist, but I imagined how amazing it would be to get to do something I love and make it my career.
I see myself designing for the rest of my life. Regardless if I'm at the workplace or freelancing from home. I will always design.
